Principal and Chief Executive, Lincoln College
I have been Principal of Lincoln College for nine years and during that time have overseen its expansion to become one of the largest FE colleges in the East Midlands with an annual turnover of c.£42m. The college has its major campus in the heart of the City of Lincoln but also has sites at Gainsborough and Newark in Nottinghamshire. The college is currently rated ‘Good’ by OfSTED and has a wide range of services ranging from a significant portfolio of academic and vocational provision for 16-18 year olds through to an extensive employer and skills related offer for adults.
I see colleges of Further Education, like Lincoln, not only serving local and regional communities but also being a key factor in delivering the training and skills agenda which is essential in the current economic climate. Lincolnshire & Rutland Employment and Skills Board will also be a key factor in such an agenda, which is why I became involved as a Board Member.
